Pathfinder MAT Joint INSET
ALL THE RIGHT INGREDIENTS
The launch of the new Pathfinder Multi-Academy Trust was celebrated in fine style last week, when over 200 members of staff from the four founding schools (Badger Hill, Hempland, Heworth, and AHS) gathered at Archbishop Holgate’s School for an evening of music, friendship, inspiration, and cake.
Music was supplied by the fantastic New York Brass Band, offering up unique interpretations of the hits that had many a TA dancing in the aisles.
This was followed by ‘educational laughologist’ Dave Keeling, offering inspirational, informative and hilarious advice on how to bring joy into the classroom.
Pathfinder Multi Academy Trust: Where you can have your cake, and eat it!
Entries for the inaugural Pathfinder Bake-Off were of a (mostly) spectacular standard. Whilst some efforts showed more enthusiasm than ability, usual from the head-teachers, every school had at least one champion serving up delights that would have comfortably competed with the best the BBC/Channel 4 had to offer. Overall winner went to Melissa Beard’s Amaretto and Raspberry sensation, but it was one of many entrants that could have taken the grand prize of the Pathfinder MAT Apron.
All representatives from the schools thoroughly enjoyed themselves, with many suggesting that this might be a model for all future twilight training sessions.
One thing is certain, there will be many new collaborations, friendships and partnerships between the MAT schools as the trust develops, grows and flourishes.
